NYWG- why not come to the Thunder Falls pow wow? Has anyone here ever met you?

Take the 90 East to 190 North, exit just off Grand Island to Robert Moses Parkway, exit at Seneca Niagara Casino.

NYwhiteguy

No Sanj

if You mean hut Members, I haven't met anybody yet.

I have some Artist friends from Cattaraugus who choose not to visit Thunder Falls

(out of respect for these friends I choose not to visit Thunder falls until I'm able to talk to them and find out more about their reasons for not going.

(it may be best for me not mention the reasons here cause I don't want to upset anybody.)

I really look forward to going to the picnic, but the only thing that is not yet written on my calender, which may be taking place is my Sisters wedding in FL .

NYWG :)

Ohh come on- you can tell us NYWG- :crown: - and besides - you should go - we won't tell your friends!

I want to go to the Thnder Falls one- anybody else- should we rondevous'

NYwhiteguy
05-11-2005, 10:21 AM
well.. since you put it that way RJ , and since nobody judges here. I'll explain My reasons for not going to thunder falls.

My family has helped a group of People at Cattaraugus by donating to a language program that doesn't take Gas or Casino Cash, due to the fact that the People who run it go to the Longhouse.

so out of respect the People and the trust they have placed in me, I choose not to visit Thunder Falls.

Sanj
05-11-2005, 02:19 PM
That's OK NYWG, kudos to you and your family for donating to a language program!!

Maybe we can all put a dinner together at the Galleria Mall or something (somewhat of a half-way point) before or after the wedding. We usually do a dinner anyways, and moving it to Erie County is probably not that big a deal.

NYwhiteguy
05-11-2005, 03:29 PM
that sounds like a good idea

the only down side is I don't drive.

and as far as the wedding goes My Sister is working on a pre-nup and that could take a long time.

(She says that Florida pre-nups can take up to two years to work out.)

would anybody mind driving down to westfield to pick me up for the picnic

if someone could, I can pm info to anybody willing to do so.

Blackbear

OH they can afford it... Tommy just save alot on insurance with Geico ROFLMAo... ok all seriousness now, Do you think you can make it to picnic? I'll treat you to some corn soup, frybread and a strawberry drink!

NYwhiteguy
05-11-2005, 10:27 PM
HAHAHA

well I guess Bear seen the Geico ad,

I think hope and pray with fingers and toes crossed that I can make it to picnic.

rjricelny
05-12-2005, 08:28 AM
NYWG- why don't you drive? Did you get in trouble with the law? _ I just can't picture that!

Sanj
05-12-2005, 08:35 AM
Is there Casino Niagara or Seneca Niagara complimentary bus service from there? My aunt once hopped on the Casino Niagara bus in Pittsburgh to come visit. Then someone could come pick u up at the Casino.

PS the Poker room is really fun.

Well in a nutshell RJ, at a very young age, 5-6 weeks old during a brain Operation, to relieve pressure on my brain I had a shunt put in and during the operation I had a stroke, I have a condition called hemaparesis ( Paralysis on one side of the body in my case it's the left side)

I've never done the Drivers Eye Test My peripheral Vision is something that needs to be tested.

I've never taken drivers ed or drivers tests.

and I think the whole state of NY is much safer without the likes of Me terrorizing the roadways.

:)

rjricelny
05-12-2005, 10:43 AM
Wow, I am at a near loss for words- 5-6 weeks old to have to go through that kind of thing, something that affects you for all of your life- and to always sense you are in good spirits - I'd say your blessed.

And I thought I had the white man's desease since I need glasses - LOL!

NYwhiteguy
05-12-2005, 11:13 AM
Yes indeedy, I'm blessed,

after 3 brain operations (last one was at the age of 8 yrs old)

the math area in my brain was damaged. and as far as being in good spirits I've had a lot of help from Haudenosaunee Friends on that, I've said before, nothing beats laughing with a room full of Indian People, accept EATING with a room full of Indian People.

Oh man.... there IS just one thing that beats eating or laughing in a room full of indians... eating and laughing in a room full of pacific islanders!!! Those guys put our boys to shame at a buffet and the laughter can be heard down the block LOL!! They always look like they are having such a good time, but alas, I'm only the person in the booth across from them.

We plan to be at the thunder falls powwow. I'm not sure yet how much we will be there. It depends on if my boyfriend, Richard, is planning to contest. Otherwise, we'll probably bounce between the powwow and picnic. Sunday for sure we will be at the powwow.

Blackbear

OH I hear that!!! I wonder if there will be any Oklahoma food vendors at the Thunder Falls powwow.... I'm kinda craving meat pies for some reason... Rob got me hooked on them back in 2001 when we went to visit his family. It's kinda like greasy ground beef wrapped in a frybread pocket... tastey as all hell.. bad for your cholesterol LOL~!

J. Medicine Hat is a super show!! He will be performing at the Casino on Thursday night, I am hoping to go. I've seen him several times, he used to come through Buffalo (now performs only at the Casino when he is in town)
