I was just wondering if anyone has teams or competetors for the North American Indiginous Games held in Denver, CO July 2nd - 9th. The games were schedualed for Buffalo, NY but were lost due to the guy incharge didn't send out information for team dorms, or family camping areas.
My son is playing for Team New York Haudenosunee's bantam lacrosse team. It's one of the few times confederacy lacrosse players will play with other confederacy nations on the same team. Normally they play each other.
They have 3 boys from Akwasasnee, 10 from Onondaga around 15 from the Seneca rez's 1 Cayuga and no Onieda's yet and 8 Tuscaroras. They are looking for more player if anyone is interested, I will look up Emmett Printups number i don't have it handy. Only 2 boys had played field lacrosse the rest only played box lacrosse. They lost thier first game, but won the second two in a Buffalo area modified tournoment. The boys must have a "C" average on thier 3rd school marking period report cards and also pass a drug test to play in Denver. We have been having breakfast's to raise money, there are 4 more schedualed for Tuscarora. Each rez is having their own fund raisers to cover transportation costs of the boys and a few chaparones.

I remember you telling me about this the last time we got together. Is Waynes son playing - or maybe he is too old?Lets get together for one of the breakfast times and rabbit hunt afterwards. This weekend is going to be a wash for me. Spot has been sick for the last week, and I am not to keen in getting him running until he gets better.

A couple days he wasn't eating a thing, drinking water wasn't a problem just eating. I ended up trying several different foods- burgers, chicken, chicken soup. He would eat a little then spit it back up- I was concerned for a while. I was even giving him pedialyte (sp) to prevent dehydration.

Good thing is he is getting better and now eating his regular food. I think it was a viral thing, cold, flu.

Anyone interested Emmett Printups number is (716)316-8655

RJ, Wayne's daughter Evone is playing on the NAIG girls field lacrosse team and basketball, but his son has been attending the try outs for Iroquois Nationals. I will let you know when the next NAIG breakfast is, I should know but I don't, I have a schedual at home. I help cook, pancakes, sauasage and bacon basically were ever they need help in the kitchen at the Tuscarora School, your welcome to help cook or just shoot the bull while we cook. My basset is in heat right now, but I would love to chase bunnies with you.

Hey there RJ - glad your dog is doing better ... just thought i would mention what one of the small-animal veterinarians that i worked for back in high school days would feed sickly canines ... Dr Laurel Ferris would mix cooked ground beef [fat drained off], with cooked white rice and cottage cheese - 1/3 of each - they seemed to keep it down pretty well, and bounced back to eating their regular dog food within nearly no time at all

and RJ - the pedialyte was a good idea, it has helped me save some of my cats that were doing poorly due to sickness or injury, before resorting to a huge vet $$$ bill - more times than i care to remember :)

Thanks bearcat- pedialyte works from kids to everyone I think. I have never tried the mixture you described but in talking with other people regarding my doggie delema- they too suggested cooked white rice- sooooo--- I am going to print out the mix you gaave and if'n the dogs get sick again - i'll surely try it.

I'll doctor up everything myself before going to the professionals- dogs, cats, cars, guns - you name it :) - it just costs less

Oh BTW- SPot will be ready ro run this weekend Bubs- (hint hint)- he was eager to run this weeekend but I think it was more mind than body.
